Yiannos is an expert on the regulatory requirements for financial, credit, and crypto institutions and has substantial sectoral experience both in the Middle East and the EU. During his career Yiannos has held various executive positions in global consulting firms where he advised regulators, financial groups and large corporates on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) regulatory frameworks and requirements.
He has directed clients on AML and GRC requirements and assisted regulators, financial groups and large corporates in complex program, framework, and strategy implementations. Additionally, he is actively involved in authorization, compliance, risk management and independent assessment engagements for investment firms, banks, payment institutions, investment funds, and crypto related organizations.
Mr. Ashiotis is a Certified Public Accountant (AICPA), holds an MBA in International Finance, a BSc in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance), is a Certified Financial Services Auditor (IIA), and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS).
He is the Cyprus National Representative to ISO on the Financial Services, Corporate Governance, and Green Finance committees, and is a Board Member of Revolut Digital Technologies , the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Cyprus National Advisory Council, and StoneX Europe.
He is Currently the Managing Director of GRC Partners, an EU based multi-disciplined advisory firm, and Pnyx Hill, a strategic consultancy firm in the U.A.E.
